Tasty malt forward brew with a generous complement of hops on the finish. A little hoppy for this style but a pleasant brew nevertheless.

Marzens a great beer style and Founders makes great beer. Nuff said...

On tap at Chappy’s. It’s now August 21, so I think festbiers are considered in season…let the games begin. Founders take is a solid one, balanced, subtle malt sweetness with a crisp finish. I’d say ‘Prost’ but that’s so last year’s Oktoberfest.

Medium (orangeish) amber w/off-white foam, aroma of toasty bready malt & floral hops. Palate brings lightly caramelly malt first, then bready malt w/crust, then crisp & lightly bitter floral hops. Sam Adams-ish, w/more hops.

What’s to be said…well, for an American Oktoby this one is pretty solid. Easy drinking, sweet malt. Still a notch down from authentic Festbiers IMO.
