Underground Mountain Brown

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Underground Mountain Brown is the harmonious drinking experience only achieved when our imperial brown ale, earthy sumatra coffee and a year aging in caves below Grand Rapids comes together. A team of malts complement the bold sumatra coffee perfectly, while time spent immersed in oak creates layers of depth and complexity. A celebration of the barrel, the bean and everything in between.

WFH HH D204 / New Beers Day 34 / BA Wednesday W6: Pours deepest brown with a generous head. Rich chocolate fudge start crashes into velvety smooth body absolutely dripping with bourbon goodness from barrel aging. Finishes whisky strong and malty. Wowza!

A bit boozy but lovely coffee flavor and chocolaty-nuttyness. Sweet vanilla and maple notes and bourbon aftertaste

Wow, didn’t know this was so heavily barrel aged when I grabbed it. Heavy barrel wood tannins

My superbowl beers to represent the Chiefs and Buccaneers. The better beer lost the game, but won the war. Great bourbon flavor with notes of chocolate and coffee. Fantastic beer!

Earthy is really the best way to describe this - in the nose and on the palate. Strong barrel character.
