Out of date bottle so maybe not fair... rich, but not too sweet. Bitter and malty. Bourbon not too dominant but tinglies the tongue. Coffee is subtle to the point of not there?

Coffee and chocolate.  Boozy on the back end. Best served at room temperature. Pretty good.

Very chocolaty barrel aged stout. I like more coffeeish ones. Bourbon is also a bit too much over the place for me.

Coffee but not as complex as might be expected. A reminder to self not to expect coffee stout level flavor from a coffee brown ale even if it’s bourbon barrel aged

BOOZY, chocolatey, dark and heavy. Dizzyingly sweet and malty.

This year dipped back a bit, malts completely masked by the bourbon, very little coffee

Not what I was expecting in a brown ale. A little to heavy and I don’t care for the hint of bourbon

2020 version. Lopsided brew with barrel outweighing base brown ale by large margin. Barrel notes are a treat however: tasty, creamy, sweet vanilla. Not getting any coffee, even as glass warms.

Doesn't really stand out from any other barrel aged stout except for the slightly stronger bitter coffee after taste.
