Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

The one in the right. Still great, but not quite dense and smooth as 2018. Still, I would not turn one down. Great beer.

A-dark brown S-Vanillia, syrup, wood T-vanilla, birch beer, and moderate heat from the alcohol O-Still a bit boozy, but flavorful and tasty.

Absolutely stellar balance. The sweet bourbon tones are a delight. Balanced balanced balanced coffee. Thicker than I remember.

Bourbon/coffee with touches of chocolate. Amazing the nuances between each year.

A great relaxer. Bourbon has mellowed a bit but still a nice offering

Bourbon on the nose to be sure. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, hints of oak & sweet bourbon elements all over a lovely smooth mouth feel. Very nice :)

Booze and bourbon with a bit of caramel and chocolate on the nose. Not an overly strong scent. Not overly strong flavor either initial. Each flavor can be picked out and not complex. As it warms to room temp it gets better, builds coffee character.

My first attempt at french pressing beer. Kept it simple with some cinnamon toast crunch. Not bad. Definitely had the cinnamon aroma with hints of it at the end. May rate this version slightly higher than original rate to a 4.6.

На трехлетие в тапке можно и двухгодовасика расчехлить. Пиво все так же прекрасно! Отличнейший горький шоколад с шикарной вискарной бочкой. Года придали пиву некую сливочность на глотке и почти полное отсутствие сладости

2nd to last one of my collection, fading fast. Lots of bitterness on the finish, touch of vanilla/maple sweetness. Looking forward to the new cinnamon vanilla cocoa variant in November. 🍻

This is one of my personal favorites. Rich, full of roasty flavors. Life is good, abundant and beautiful.
