More dark roasted malt forward than 2017. And it lingers on the tongue longer... Delicious just different than 2017

Way too much barrel and less flavor. The worst kind of stout, unfortunately. No chocolate and little coffee.

Medium coffee notes, slight heat, sweetest of the 3. Enjoying a flight shared by Nick B.

4.8 or 4.85. Honestly much better than the 2020 I had earlier. Though aging probably helped. And still have another in the pantry :D

Sour Ale

More chocolate and coffee flavor this year. Nice balance. More bourbon flavor as it warms up. Vanilla. Caramel. Roasty. Slightly sweet. Bitter. Boozy. Thick. Dark. Strong. Smooth. Delicious.

A bit of a bitter aftertaste, but nice roast and bourbon backbone. Adjuncts add to overall (coffee and chocolate)... Nice overall complexity and combinations. Thanks Kari!

Wow, so bloody smooth! Chocolate, coffee and bourbon work together seamlessly. Best version of this beer I've had.

Initially bourbon’s very strong on the nose & made had me nervous of the balance. But its got a nice coffee hit 1st that’s quickly followed by dark chocolate. Pretty syrupy/oily texture that really compliments the style. More bourbon flav as it warms

Shared a 1 ltr and could have easily had more. Very bourbon on the nose. Very coffee and chocolate initially with a smooth mid section and alcoholic/bourbony but still smooth finish. Didn't notice a great flavour change as it warmed but delicious all thru

18-3-5 vtg; ~2yr,7mo/o. Bold, spicy coffee. Notes of earthy cocoa and nutmeg. Hints of fiery wood character finish. Aging quite nicely as well!
