KBS Espresso (2020)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

KBS gets its coffee fix in the very first variant to come from our beloved bourbon barrel-aged stout. Yes, KBS may already be brewed with coffee, but it gets some extra oomph when it’s aged on espresso beans after being removed from barrels. The result is a fresh and snappy coffee twist on our classic barrel-aged beer. Who says you can’t start your day with a barrel-aged stout?

Both classics on their own right. The movie speaks for itself...... And so does the beer.

This may be the definitive stout for coffee drinkers. The brilliance of kbs with beautiful espresso notes. Best had at room temperature, it's as thick as a boozy coffee milkshake. Smooth as velvet with no overpowering flavors, this is my favorite KBS.

#1,000 Didn’t have an exact plan, but my trip to Founders a couple years ago was a definitive impact in my interests for craft beer. Cheers

I’m biased bc stouts are the best beers known the man, but this is superb to most.

Bought in March at the beginning of the pandemic & it’s aged since in a very nice way. Back then, espresso added a component that detracted from the original. But now it’s backed off & brought a roasty bitterness that is just delicious. Rich & amazing.

Aaron I think I found the answer to your question which is no, unless the beers mass pulls in nearby satellite’s which enhance the experience. Thanks for the inspiration 💡🍄 Cheers and merry Christmas to all 🌲
