A Michigan beer to signify my allegiance in this game 😄 This was a rare find back home over the holidays. A big pump beer for sure with loads of spices and sweetness that dominates along with the barrel.

French Toast Bastard Van Drie

Just made it back home, one night after the tornado/straight-line winds hit the immediate area. So fortunate no damage to the house. Having this by lantern in the basement after raiding the stash. Love the '76 WDW license plate! Oh, beer is very good too

4 Giants Tropical Treasure Van Drie

10 miles ran and kicked ass in a horse tourney, that's a good Sunday 😁 Celebrate with this pretty sweet from the pineapple, but extremely good hazy version of the Giants!

Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout (2020) Van Drie

Boom, 4k check-ins! I was thinking this was going to be incredible as I loved the base beer before, and it's good, but fell short of the greatness I was thinking. A bit bitter tasting and then big barrel. Pre-game for Munsters murder mystery dinner!

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Van Drie

Definitely seems like French toast, dang. Little but sweet and big cinnamon, but good

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4% Van Drie

Still so good, crazy. So much woulda coulda shoulda with this game, sucks!!! Ugh!!!! Trip to Houston was right there for the taking.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) Van Drie

In Mayfield We Trust! Or the refs... Tough breaks for the Lions and they are out of the playoffs. Great beer for the ages, last of the old bombers!

Crimson Cru Van Drie

Definitely getting an olde world Flemish vibe going for sure. The base malts do shine through in addition though. Enjoyed! Great beer selection here, always surprises me.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) Van Drie

First time having a this on tap. So rich and chewy. Just an amazing variant in the KBS fam.

4 Giants Hazy IPA Van Drie

Creamy and juicy goodness. Quite different than the OG 4 Giants, but equally as good in another way. Tangerine is the dominant note.

Mango Magnifico Van Drie

This one-time bomber-only release resurfaces as part of the Bottle Shop series. Liking it better now than I remember. Good blend of sweet and heat. Goes great with grilled salmon pt 2! Best salmon I've ever had, something to do with the bourbon marinade:)

Belgian Twist Van Drie

A sneaky tripel for sure. Think the agave dominates a bit too much and would like more of the usual Belg notes. Solid, but a bit of a letdown for this series.

90 Minute Imperial IPA (2021) Van Drie

Perfect grilling (or anything) weather! Cool, no humidity, so nice. This is about as good an old school big IPA as you could ask for.

Far right and the starter in the Founders Flight! Great fresh clean notes in a sesh IPA. Picked up some swag and talked to the Founders rep (from Ark, haha) - he was good though, knew his stuff and hooked us up :)

Well now, truly a hazy sesh! Very good, will have to get some of this for the spring/summer. Stepped up the All Day bill plus hops for a really good beer. 2nd from right.

Founders Flight continues with a beast of an IPA. Took a nice conglomerate of hops from good IPAs to make this, and it hits. 2nd from left.

As good as you think it is, haha. BA malt bomb with chocolate and molasses, can't go wrong with a recipe like this.

BA Oh Snap! Gingerbread Ale Van Drie

Huge gingerbread notes and excellent barrel, on the brink, but not over the top. Loved this one! Even Charlene had to recognize the greatness of this ;)

Creamy chocolate, caramel, and bourbon goodness in such a classic setting, couldn't ask for anything more. 31 degrees and huge flakes coming down, such a great feeling. 🥰

Sweet and hot from the Brandy barrel and of course the quad. Good, not great surprisingly, haha.

Blushing Claus (Mothership Series) Van Drie

A lot going on here with multiple fruit notes with raspberry dominating. Also the tequila barrel shows up just a touch. Wish I could partake of more Mothership efforts...had to settle on getting a Mothership shirt to tide me over 😁

Cool Beans Coffee Brown Lager Van Drie

Fantastic coffee notes in this medium level brew. I still contend that Founders does coffee beers as good as anyone and this is a perfect example. First time back at the source in 3 years and as great as ever.

Honey Monkey Double IPA Van Drie

Most excellent mix of old-skool hops bursting with flavor makes for a great big IPA. Tastes so fresh, ahhh....

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Van Drie

BAC #10 - Love the big orange bitters in this and the whole OF vibe. Founders does a great job at mimicking some of these types of drinks. Russell F. firing bullets from the get-go :o

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Van Drie

BAC#7 - Another KBS winner. Actually has more cinnamon than I was expecting. Vanilla and cocoa notes come through also. I wasn't expecting this to be my fave KBS and it checks in about right. Still good tho :)

The king of the brown ales has returned! Founders makes the best coffee brown ales, no question about it! This is a more creamy milky version of an Underground Mtn. Celebrating a great MSU victory down in South Beach today!

Liquid Truth Serum Van Drie

Couldn't solve the very difficult Jack the Ripper escape room, but enjoyed some success on the axe front! Nice tropical notes in a pretty earthy base.

3.5 miles in heat/humidity romping through briar/bramble in the ditch along FM407 is probably not the right idea today..ok, had to try a seltzer and reg Mas Agave is the shit, so figured this was the one. Now I get it, great notes-this and tacos all day!

Calling on this lil guy to help with the last real Big10 hope! Also should help Founders get to the Sweet16 themselves. As advertised on the flavor notes with a nice base, kind of like a sess BBA stout.

Moon Rambler IPA Van Drie

Founders shouldn't need the help getting by the 1st round, but MSU needs help getting to the 1st round :o. Looks like a 2nd half collapse. Rambler is a smooth, Azacca hop-forward brew.

Powering through some late-night work and this helps along with the metal! This 3YO+ brew has morphed into a potent, yet somewhat smooth BA cornmeal of a beer. One of my all-time fave Founders releases just because of what it is...and still good!

BAC#7 - Flavor as big as Big Mac itself 🌉 Fudge and that Ferris coffee are most prominent. I can smell that coffee when grabbing the glass, wow. Bourbon chimes in at the finish. I think this has to be my fave KBS of all-time. 🎊
