Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

Variant of KBS KBS gets its coffee fix in the very first variant to come from our beloved bourbon barrel-aged stout. Yes, KBS may already be brewed with coffee, but it gets some extra oomph when it’s aged on espresso beans after being removed from barrels. The result is a fresh and snappy coffee twist on our classic barrel-aged beer. Who says you can’t start your day with a barrel-aged stout?

Smooth, rich, delicious with thick mouthfeel like a KBS, then the Espresso cuts softly across the palate to finish cleanly. Cannot think of a better example!

I have no idea when I acquired this and so no idea how long it’s been aging in my hands. Damn if this isn’t an amazing “last beer” at The Square. Even if I am STILL cleaning the basement and drinking it in the basement at 9:40 on a Thursday evening. 🤦‍♂️
