Definitely kicks up the coffee notch, slightly less valance that’s legit what variants are for!

Strong coffee note on the nose (bit of baking chocolate too). Momentary sweetness is damped by roasted malt and coffee astringency. Finish is fairly dry and bitter, esp. for a BA stout. Bit of a fuel note. All the coffee hides most of the barrel notes.

Definitely tastes like good coffee. Nails the “breakfast” part of beer.

Just a tick below the original but quite a tasty offering nonetheless.

Heavy chocolate/coffee notes. Drinks a little like an imperial stout, though not as bitter as other imperials, especially Russian imperials. A little sweet, like dark chocolate is sweet.

Definite Coffee presence but the Bourbon flavor was lacking - was more added abv but not a lot of profile to it.

Man, I remember when KBS was impossible to find; now even the variants are in large supply. It's a fun beer, dark and coffee flavors. Not getting the Kentucky much on those one , though.

So it’s not quite as good as the original but still pretty tasty.

Com a fanboy de Founders i amant dels cafès i els petrolis, no puc demanar més. Prefereixo la versió normal però per poc.
