Sweet! Tastes like a chocolate covered blueberry. We've had this one in the basement awhile 😅

Missed check-in from last night. Blueberry flavor had become incredibly prominent. Had a very sweet almost lambic like quality with undertones of chocolate, bourbon, and vanilla. Worth the aging process to see how it developed.

Fresh this was sickly sweet cough syrup. To be honest, I didn’t like it but decided to cellar one to see if it would calm down. Mellowed out a lot! Vanilla finally stood out, chocolate covered tart blueberries with drinkable level of sweetness. Surprised.

The blueberry has, shockingly, been retained after 3 years. Actually really delicious.

A very interesting beer. The blueberry is ever present but you can still taste the bourbon. Vanilla and chocolate comes out as it warms #blacksaturday

I’m getting a blueberry forward flavor that gives it a sweet and tart taste with a hint of chocolate and licorice to me. Blueberry is a little too sweet and slightly overpowering the barrel taste. #blacksaturday

Been aging this one for a while now. Not as syrupy as I recall but still a tad sweet. The vanilla is more pronounced than the blueberry now. Was hoping the the bourbon barrel would've morphed this differently.

Var är Thordan T. när man behöver honom, ska jag behöva dricka hela flaskan själv? Sjukligt bra öl, men blåbärssyran har tagit över lite med tiden och denna va nog bäst vid flaskning.

Last time I had this, I wasn't a big fan. Now that pastry stouts are a thing, maybe when this first came out the beer nerds weren't ready for it. It's pretty good.

Subdued nose of blueberry liquor, vanilla and the beginnings of leather. Further back, a mixture of becherovka and cola. The taste has by now dried up some. The palate, red berry jam. The tongue, leathery brown sugar. The tail, raspberry vin santo.

Like a dark chocolate covered blueberry with a glass of bourbon nearby (tastes almost more rum-like than bourbony to me). Working through some old bottles!
