Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

Chocolate and bourbon. Coffee as you’d expect from a proper breakfast ☕️ Strong and roasty. Something you sip by a campfire under the stars.

Lots of coffee, chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Smooth, even at 12% ABV

Definitely a double coffee. Boozy, barrel aged is a nice touch. Subtle tones of chocolate. Almost too much going on

Oh yeah, here's my splurge. It smells heavy, hits heavy, but tastes a lot like chocolate. I think it lives up to its reputation, although I can't tell you how it compares to past years. Sippaple, regal, special occasion, go Crew.

Chocolate caramel sweetness, coffee bitterness, charred bourbon barrel. Extremely heavy, velvety mouthfeel, short aftertaste.

First of the 2020 release. I always like to try at least one fresh and then age others. Very good as expected l, but it is a little hot that should calm down with aging.

Almost ten months old. I let this one chill a bit longer than usual (52°). Right now I’m getting tons of bitter chocolate flavor, but very little aroma. Some roast and coffee, but not much bourbon. I’ll comment more as it warms.

여태 마셨던 베럴 에이지드 중에서 가장 좋았다. 적절하게 밸런스가 잡혔고 온도가 높아질수록 약간의 매움과 커피향이 뿜뿜 펴졌다
