Really warmed into it and it grew on me but it was lacking some body, it felt a bit watery. The taste was great, hints of bourbon but nowhere near boozy for a 12%er. Nice festive drink, day 1 of the HopsnMore 8 day advent.

Founders... You fear to go into those mines. The dwarves delved too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the darkness of Khazad-dum... shadow and flame.

Väldigt vacker att se på kolsvart med ett ståtlig skum. Fina nyanser av fat och kaffe.

A *lot* of oaky vanilla. The coffee is noticeable beneath it but not as much as I recall. The 2019 batch was better.

Men jo då. Ingen direkt kolsyra men det biter den ifrån med i alkoholstyrka. Tung, kraftig smak. Jag sippar.

Great with chocolate cake. The bourbon barrel flavor wasn’t too over bearing like I’ve experienced with other barrel aged beers.

Making up for my pitifully slow drinking tonight by finishing with a strong one. ☺️ 11.9% and you can taste it! Bourbon, coffee, sweetness... just a smidgeon too boozy for me. Cheers and happy Friday, beer friends! 🍻🍻🍻
