Tapping into the cellar for the #2017 which has toned considerably. Still getting the coffee, slight bourbon and boozyness but is toned considerably.

Wow!

Don’t follow a Veil Stout with this beer.

Strong, sweet, and flavorful. Slightly sour, very dark

Noe oksidering.

Still decent, but I think the age isn't helping this anymore.

onight I'm gonna do a comparison between 2016 & 2017 Backwards Bastard! Next up: THE WINNER, 2017! Creamier, smoother than the 2016, light dark fruit, slightly bitter on the tongue, vanilla, some smoky barrel char is present, heavy oak notes!

Drinking backwoods in the backwoods...with friends. Amazing booziness and caramel warmness.

Winner of the ‘15 to ‘17 vertical. That said, fresh is still best.

I love scotch ales. I love barrel aged beers. This is 2 of my favorite things in one.

Throwback of one of my absolute favorites of all time. Thanks Erik Z.

I remember hunting for this beer because those that got it in, didn't get much, and it sold out quickly. I once found a case at Sunsinger and bought it all. Now it's more readily available, but dang, after 4 years in the bottle, it's still soooo good.

Nothing Irish in the fridge, this Scottish will have to do. Well mellowed

Mumsfilibaba!

It’s was so worth waiting for 5years. All of the reviews are spot on, on Untappd. I really can’t add anything but I will be so sad when the bomber is gone. Definitely one on my favorite BB.

Very caramelly. Boozier than a fresh one. Dont know if age did it well

Boozy and vanilla sweet with notes of the barrel. Almost has a whisky like taste to it. As the Maccas ads say, I'm loving it.

Man feel like this thing gets better with time. The barrel notes so soft and sweet . Held up great . Thanks J K. 4.35

Wow! Father Time has done wonders for this beer. Previously I thought this finished with a sharp taste, but no longer. Very smooth and tastes fantastic.
