Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) Basham
Can't tell if nearly 7 years of age has helped or hurt this beer. It still tastes excellent. Paired with a Gurkha Seduction on a rainy day with a cool breeze, I can't complain about life at all. Feel like I won a broke man's powerball.

Perfect amount of spice to pair with the amazing bitter dark chocolate.

Revist after the 2019 release. I don't see why I rated this a 5. While it is flavorful, the body is very thin, and leaves something to be desired. The coffee is great and the sting from the bourbon sits on the tongue, but there are better stouts.

Not as tart as I was expecting. Bourbon is there, but it doesn't over power the sweetness.

Wake Up World Wide Stout Basham
Extreme stout box #10. Coffee nose. The first taste is roasty and somewhat bitter, followed by a warming that goes down the breastbone and into the gut. Not as smokey as I was anticipating. This does not taste like a 15%er, but it goes down like one.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Basham
This beer has been sitting for about 2 hours, and it has opened up beautifully. The fruit comes through better than it did originally. Really sweet. Almost like old fashioned candy.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Basham
When this first appeared, it was a keg only brew. I'm happy to see it in a bottle form. It isn't as heavy as I remember, but the flavor is incredible It has more maple than anything I've ever tasted in a beer, and maple syrup has never been a bad thing.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Basham
A revisit since the '22 has appeared. This '20 version is so incredible. The fudge and lingering cocoa is just amazing. Coffee and bitter chocolate is at the top of my favorite flavors, and this is literally the ipotomy of what I want in a stout. High abv

Not as flavorful as the nose would present. It does fit the genre or style of a brown ale, but the palate is a little underwhelming. Strong coffee upon smelling. That's the best part. Not my favorite by any means, but I'm sure it will age well.

Such a complex beer. Yes it is hoppy. Yes it is malty. Yes it is sweet. Yes it is bitter. Yes it is rich.I just don't know how to describe it other than I really really like it.

Lonely pool day. This barrel age really shines in this fruity, dark chocolate stout. Typically reserved for colder months, this tastes exceptionally good when it is 91°. Another visit to Founder's is in the future.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Basham
Tons of caramel in this one with the barrel aged heaviness. The nose reminds me of rootbeer hard candy. Is there sassafras in this beer? Very much enjoyed. Unlike any other brown I've had. Not the best, but definitely the most unique I can recall.

Another excellent variant of boozy and palatable. Maple is less noticeable than vanilla, but bourbon is solid. Easy drinking porter to be enjoyed.

Looks like a rose cider, but has a good amount oak and fruitiness. Surprisingly really refreshing.

#1!!!!! Amazing fudge on a classic brew. Barrel age hits low in the belly. The palate is so silky and tasty. Perfection again.
