Toffee, molasses, fig, and raisin. Hint of vanilla. Very smooth, almost no heat. Med body with a light carb. Not much bourbon left, touch of oxidation. These beers age so phenomenally. Can’t wait for the 2015-2017 vertical I have planned

Had a great day today so decided to top it off with the cellar favorite. Booze burnt off and is way more carmely and smooth. I will probably regret having this all to myself. Cheers!!!

See previous reviews of various vintages. Last of the well aged Mohicans.

Bottled 20/07/17. Aged wonderfully. So much oak and bourbon barrel character. Super warming and smooth. Some scotch notes. Plums, raisins, dates, malty, alcohol is at the perfect level of kick without being overwhelming. Great beer

Tonight, into the archives! 😎 2017 Founder's Backwards Bastard (Bottled 10/11/17, 11.2% abv.) WOW! Aged well! Still a TON of smokey oak barrel flavor left, vanilla, burnt caramel, earthy, sweet malty! 9.9/10 😳

Aromatic Scotch greets the nose, followed by luscious boozy barrel notes throughout. Warming smoothness; this has aged very well indeed!

Fyra års lagring och den blir bara bättre och bättre fortfarande mycket god smak från fatlagringen och väldigt välbalanserad döljer alkoholen mycket väl

Wee Heavy is one of my most favourite styles. And this does not disappoint. Strong and sweet with raisins galore

I know I score this higher than the average but it’s so good.

Has aged really well! Sweetened up a bit and mellowed out. Just a rich and relaxing sipper for a snowy evening!

Born on 10/04/17. Side-by-side test with the 2018 version, and this one is a lot more smooth and sweeter, without any bite. Great aging on this one!!

6 yrs old. I have yet to find a maximum age on this beer. Amazing barrel and caramel notes on this one a true treat while making marmalade with 24lbs of oranges from my tree.
