Aged 6 years... Apparently that's too long. I don't want to ruin the original rating, but this is MUCH lower than a 5* unfortunately. Much of the flavor seems to have disappeared. Oh well, bottoms up!

NLIP. Last 2015 in the beer cellar. No heat on it but plenty of flavor.

An oldie, but a goodie. Fabulous Sunday beer on a warm October day.

Losing its carb and getting a little thin, but still delicious.

Not changing my rating from back in the day. This was a great beer when it was newer. But this is definitely aged for too long (even in the fridge)

Dark sweet cherry and milk to dark chocolate are the main flavors. No coffee or booziness. Definitely time to drink this one! Much longer and I could see some cardboard coming through. None now though.

Last one of these in my cellar. It’s still holding up but flavors are less pronounced. Still has some chocolate notes at the finish.

If you can believe it the alcohol isn't very apparent after 7 years.

Out of the 9496 uniques I’ve checked in on here, this particular beer provides the most joy when I scroll through all of the prior check-ins. It’s been a good run. Think I still have a couple left. w/ Stranger Things S4:E4

Wow this really blew us away. I was expecting this to be too old but coffee, chocolate, barrel and not too sweet. Melissa says it was perfect.

Enjoyed while reading the latest news from the Columbus Crew…

I can't give this one a rating because I sat on it way too long. Advice... The best beer is fresh beer. It's ok not to age your beers, or forget about them in my case.

Aged 8 years. Way past its peak, unfortunately. Smooth, but rather oxidized, and with low carbonation. Drain pour. Keeping old rating.

Delicious. Beer has thinned out, but the flavors are still there. Nice oak and vanilla with a hint of coffee and chocolate.

The ‘Art in making a beer that can age for 8 years and still taste awesome… Maybe a ‘Lost Art…

It's always great, but like a fine wine, it gets better with age. This was amazing!

Celebrating my new abode with something from a far away cellar.

Split. Flat but otherwise held up really well. A Michigan beer to have while watching a Michigan band that we first saw in 2015. #fullcircle
