KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020)

Stout - Imperial / Double

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

This reminded me of CBS except this is has more chocolate notes. Coffee is there. Maple & bourbon are subtle. This is better then CBS IMO. Cheers!

Damn this is good, not quite as strong whiskey flavor as some of the others, but a good fudge flavor with hints of maple.

FLN. Pours with a dark brown head, strong aroma of maple and literal fudge. Tastes like a rich chocolate milk and continues with fudge. Maple is mild, which I prefer. No extract here IMO. Very rich. Enjoyable. Think I prefer Espresso a bit more.

5 all day. Hear me out. Take a tootsie roll. Roll it in fudge. Dip it in maple syrup. Roll it in coffee beans. Take a bite. Take a shot of bourbon. This is what u get. All the flavors come thro like crazy. So balanced.

Very subtle maple, mostly still the original coffee bomb with a bit more dark chocolate than the original.

Remember Super Fudge... from the kids books? This beer does! Fudgiest beer I’ve had in long time. Chocolate cake. Better than expected.

Delicious. Little maple sweetness, lots of coffee, and a yuuuugggggeeee fudgy finish. Hides the barrel well. Could be trouble.

BO 9/24/20. I hate myself, but the maple and fudge combo was intriguing. I've got 3 more that need a good home.

Picked up one four-pack, but left the last one on the shelf for somebody else. You definitely get maple as a secondary flavor, but make no mistake. This is a fudge bomb. Delicious!

One first dives into the darkest of chocolate which gives the finest Swiss chocolatiers a run for their money. The maple then slowly unwinds to leave a loving brownie aftertaste. Delightfully refined and full bodied.
