-Only- 15.5%, this one is all dark fruit and roasty molasses. Worth grabbing every year for old times sake.

Coffee a bit rough on this one. I like the notes of hazelnut, but that first sip is grounds.

Was going to skip this until Lawton K. Recommended it. Pretty solid. One of the better KBS variants I’ve had in awhile. Lots of chocolate and a little kick of heat that comes out as it warms.

Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice C
Very strong ginger and spice, but honestly I don’t mind it. Better than artificial flavors. Thanks, James B. !

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) C
Best Founders beer I’ve had in awhile. Thin, but balanced and tasty. Thanks, James B. !

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout C
6(?) years in and this is drinking great. Way smooth for the ABV, and big vanilla to round off the roast. Bring me fall weather.

Not sure on the year, but this is grassy and a nice amount of funk. My first Cantillion? Hopefully not my last.

A bit of fusel that dissipates a bit as it warms. Never had this the first time it was around, so it was fun to try. Nice maple that doesn’t overwhelm.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) C
Better than I remember it. Big maple but not cloyingly sweet. Still slightly prefer the base, but this is a nice fall beer.

This is one of the beers that got me into craft beer. Haven’t had one in over a year, and while it’s not hitting me like it used to, this is still a solid brew.

Good, but I’ve have multiple shelfie hazelnut stouts that top it. Barrel is the weakest of recent KBS memory. Coffee is still the centerpiece.

Lacking the big cherry punch that I loved so much last go around. Nice barrel presence, but not hitting like previous years.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) C
2 hours of sipping on this boozy thing and it barely backs down. Thin and hot, but definitely flavorful. Think I should probably age one for a couple years just to see what happens.

A bit astringent on open, but comes together as it warms. Honestly give me way more cocoa if it’s in the name. Not my fave variant, but good.

Very similar to Sumatra Underground Brown, maybe a bit less chewy and a whisper more chocolate. Huge coffee, but pretty smooth.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Lime C
Better than I thought it would be. Flavorful, and without the fake flavor and burn of many other mass produced seltzer’s. Thanks, James B.

Mas Agave Prickly Pear (2021) C
Seems much sweeter than the base. If I hadn’t seen the label, I’d have guessed this was raspberry.

Not as bitterly hopped as Bigfoot, but still not quite in my wheelhouse. More of an English BiL dude.

Starting another mead, so I decided to try a beer with honey. Don’t like this as much as I did the first time I had it, but it’s still good for a change up.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) C
Very subtle maple, mostly still the original coffee bomb with a bit more dark chocolate than the original.

Not hugely different than Blushing Monk, but the barrel carves off a bit of the sweetness and gives it a bit of burn. Tequila+ raspberries pair well.
