I know so many don’t like Ginger - lucky I’m not so I can enjoy this. The soft BBA Barleywine vanilla smooth oaky caramel spiked w/ ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg & especially the clove. I’m a fan of Gingerbread, Ginger Snaps & Ginger on Gilligan’s Island 😁!

Drank this 12.8% ABV brew a few weeks back and again last night. First time was a 4.25 rating. Now a 3.75. Probably because of all those other brews before this. 😜

Not the typical barleywine, but a different twist! Gingerbread flavors all present in this BA in bourbon barrels. With the abv at 12.2%, there is no need to snuggle. This will warm you up! Another great beer from Founder's!

Wow...not too sweet, not too boozy. Everything is balanced. Notes of ginger, spice, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and some nutmeg. All balanced by the malt of the barley wine and the boozyness. Well done! Can't wait to try some in the winter. Sláinte!

Pours Dark Amber. A strange Barrel Aged Barleywine with notes of Vanilla, Ginger Cinnamon, & Clove. Not the taste that I would go for again, to be honest. Not Nice.

Picked up 3 of these today for $3 each, including tax. Wow! Bottled 10/19/23. Pleasing ginger and spice aroma. More going on with the taste. Great flavor with clove and ginger coming together nicely in this 12.8% ABV. Cheers friends!🍻

Decent given the ingredients: ginger cinnamon and clove. Cinnamon not cloying. Overall balanced but I’m drinking a gingerbread cookie. Not something I’ll buy again. Stick is like a large swisher sweet. Meh same on that.

This one grew on me. Once my palate adjusted I really enjoyed it. And finally some big barrel notes from founders. Thanks John M.

Not quite what I was expecting. The ginger sort of just stands there on the tongue followed by some pepper. Not a combination I’m particularly a fan of, just seems there was so much more that could have been done.

I'm always on the hunt for "that" barleywine. It's probably my favorite style. This isn't it, unfortunately. I'm a Founders fan boy from way back, for context. Some styles don't benefit from "creative embellishments".

Top of the barrel to you. So much ginger here might as well label this barley wine as anti-inflammatory

Ty C. I found it in Pennsylvania. The Ginger made me hesitate. Not a fan. It’s a BA Barleywine so I had to try it. This is a low rating for a Barleywine for me. The Ginger did it. I’ll have one for you Tim S. Cheers 🍻
