A little boozy. Roasty and slightly bitter. Not overly thick but full tasting. Malt and a hint of some berry.

[bottled 10-02-2018] [from the cellar]Another forgotten bottle past it's prime. Surprisingly nice head, almost nothing on the nose (cocoa and alcohol). Plenty of boozy heat, some chocolate, a vanilla-ish something and.... Discovered another bottle, too😑

[bottled 10-02-2018] [from the cellar]Last of the CBS 750's, thankfully. This bottle was less offensive than the last. Very chocolatey, far less cardboardy, an odd alcohol flavor, very little depth or other notes. CBS was best consumed in that 12mo window

I'm going to say the 5+ years sitting in a bottle were starting to negatively impact the taste. Maybe best to only age 3 years. Weird flavors happening.

Whoosh, strong and sweet! It went perfectly with our charcuterie plate though.

Blijf dit een 'overrated' bier vinden. Erg lekker en mooi in balans maar ook erg saai en totaal geen complexiteit voor zo'n hoge score. Echt Amerikaans.... bigger, better, greater, bla, bla, bla...

Age has allowed the flavors to meld with each other. Better than I remember, though the slight alcohol bite I could do without.

The 2018 release has a very strong maple start that evolves into chocolate that finishes on a more bitter coffee note. If you like stouts, this is a must-try, but for me, the maple is too strong and surprisingly sweet.

Blind cellar beer #3. Really interesting to try this blind, it did not live up to the hype at all. Thin, a weird fruity sweetness in the middle, and a little coffee at the end. Don't think I'll finish the bottle.

Maple was subtle. Body was thin. But, lots of coco and leathery tobacco. A little blast from the past.

Boozy smell (yeah,, and taste). Nice mouthfeel. Sits there (aka lingers). More nutty & maple than straight coffee.
