I'm usually not a fan of Bourbon barrel beers. This one is better than most I've tried. Vanilla up front, maple on the finish.

A little unbalanced, vanilla doesn't ki k in until the finish.

A bit disappointed in this one. Was expecting more maple and sugary flavors. But couldn't notice much of either. Maybe I got a bad batch.

Not what I want in an imperial. Founders breakfast stout is the standard. This was way to sweet for my taste

Unexpectedly poor showing given my preferences & love for the brewery, especially given how Norm reviewed it. But, a hard pass. Maple & vanilla don’t integrate nearly as well as the CBS standard & it’s the 1st Founders’ beer that tastes at all artificial.

Sweet. Dark. Thick. Founders likes their maple and bourbon barrels, or maybe I just buy all of those they make.

Starts out smelling like a shot of bourbon, then the maple syrup and vanilla interact as the beer warms up and it comes into its own, like some sort of scented body powder. It’s altogether too sweet for my liking.

Is the printer still working? Light maple aroma. Dark, malty, light vanilla, light sweetness from the maple.

Quite tasty. All flavors are subtle but present. Nothing overpowers the other and blends well for a smooth, slightly sweet easy bringing beer.

This good... Chocolate, sweet. Not as heavy as the stouts but very flavorful.
