Overly hoppy for this style... bitter front with decent finish

Gebrande mouten komen er sterk door, veel koffie, beetje romig.

Roasty and somewhat boozy...a bigger beer @ 11%. Good complexity and depth of flavor. I enjoy the dark chocolate (I think) and associated bitterness.

Caramelly. Pretty roasty. Piney and resiny hops. Dank. Bitter. Sweet.

Great to have a high abv beer. Solid but not spectacular

Doesn't drink like a barleywine to me. It's more like a malty black imperial ipa. May get better with time.

It’s OK. I actually was expecting more.

Borderline hoppy stout with all the roasted malts. Founders got me with this one cause I never got to try the original. Good, not great.

seemed like it should have an aftertaste but didn’t?? needs more flavor.

Really tasty. Can’t wait to see how it ages out over the next months and possibly years.

Not too shabby. Barleywine is an acquired taste with many being best after aging. This is good right out of the gate. Just not a superb version.

I thought this could use a bit more malt chew/body but it’s kinda cloying on the finish.

Not as aggressively bitter as some American Barleywines I’ve had, but I still prefer the English style
