Clear dark-brown w/ a red core; fluffy tan head & lacing. Earthy tobacco nose & taste; add roasted-malt flavor balanced w/ bitter hops; dry finish.

Drinks like a lightly boozy black IPA. Roasty malty hoppy. Simply delicious if you like that style. Drinks so smoothly for ABV. Dangerous.

Outstanding flavor! Not sure how this even got in my beer fridge, but I think it was a gift from a friend.

I like my homebrew RIS. I need to love it like I love this beer. Amazing. So good it was gone by the time I went to take a picture!

Excellent. Founders has definitely done a great job on this one. Getting subtle tobacco and wood notes in this very unique roasted barleywine.

Fantastisk god øl. Rik og fyldig maltsmak med nydelig bitterhet. Am. BW er en av mine favorittsjangere, og dette er et utmerket eksemplar. 2021 årgang, men har nok ikke tapt seg på lagring i kjelleren. Digg 🥳

Баночку - И домой!

Молочно-шоладная патока, кофеный эспрессо и ореховые нота - на органолептике. Тело не слащенного, какао-напитка. Терпкое послевкусие. Забористая штука.

Roasty and thick with toffee and molasses and a nice dry finish. Great beer!

Smells both fruity and a hint of roast; big chewy malt bill and alcohol bite, sweet malts and big bitter/pineyhops; minimal roast character, more chocolate and caramel; love the big hop character like Bigfoot; nothing crazy but different enough b'wine.

Uniquely flavored barley-style brew more dark&much less caramelly sweet than some w/great balance&palate heft for being lighter on the tongue than others too.Incredibly, dangerously smooth fooler of an 11.2 that drinks like much less w/zero alcoholic heat

American Barley Wine with super toasty and roasty malts= Barley wine x RIS... Huge complexity, bitter earthy hops and layers of boozy malted goodness.
