Nitro U.N.I.T.Y. Mint Mocha Stout

Stout - Oatmeal

Our third annual Unite Brew in celebration of International Women’s Day is a collaboration between the women of Founders Grand Rapids and Detroit! This year’s theme is Compassion, so Founders has arranged to donate funds to support women in both cities through Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Pink Boots Society, and Women’s Resource Center in Grand Rapids. Brewers Laura Houser and Natalie Iseli-Smith came together to brew sister Nitro Oatmeal Coffee Stout recipes while each giving theirs a substantial twist: Natalie’s in Detroit is minty fresh and chocolaty sweet, made with real Andes mints, milk + dark chocolate liquor, lactose and Ethiopian coffee from Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Co…while Laura’s in Grand Rapids features smooth coffee c

The best application of mint in beer I’ve experienced. Smooth, a tad bitter, a hint of malt, and delightfully rich.

Odd beer, but not in a bad way. Not as sweet as I expected, which is nice. The mint, chocolate and coffee is subtle. The aroma is almost non-existent, which again, is nice.

Opaque black color, frothy tan head and lacing, fresh roast coffee, chocolate, and mint aroma and taste, creamy smooth, lingering mint finish.

My oh my! Sure it has a very light mouthfeel, but if you love mint/chocolate/coffee you're gonna love this. The brewer, Natalie nailed the chocolate mint flavor 100%. I love it

Surprised by the low ratings. It's a bit thin but I get the Andes mint in the flavor.
