While I have my Founders glass out, what better excuse to revisit the 2017 KBS? This Stout has mellowed and everything seems more balanced. There’s still chocolate, coffee, and bourbon barrel, but now it’s smooth with all playing nice.

I apparently put this in the fridge at some point. And now is the some point I drink it.

Has not held up well at all. One note, watery coffee. Zero barrel.

Best yet. Combo of coffee/sweetness/chocolate is spot on.

My least favorite of the 15-19 vertical. Overcarbed and thin.

Seems rather flat at this point. Not sure if I’d aged poorly or not. Usually really like these.

Split. Celebrating the fact we now only own one house officially, the sale of the old house FINALLY happened today. Don’t use Citizen’s Bank... in any event, this aged phenomenally

De-effing-licious. Day off today!!! Just got done prepping a Julia child version of Beef Bourguignon and this is how I’m rewarding myself. Chocolate and coffee, perfect for a cold rainy day. Such an excellent beer, even better with age!!!

If I hadn't had the Rock Cut brewing stout this would be amazing but it's just pretty good.

Not holding up quite so well...still pretty good, but heading downhill it seems.

Back in my KBS stash to celebrate yet another Tide win over good ol’ rocky top. Found a 2017 I didn’t know I had and it is great. Thought about opening the bottle before kickoff, but that would have just been rude.

Really boozy, with slight hints of chocolate, still pretty good...

Tons of bourbon on the first couple sips- but then it mellows. The base beer is faded and sweet.
