after a quick cellar check, I found this … feels thinner and more figgy/plum like, but after all, it is six years old

6 years on this is just perfect on draft. Comparing to BCBS and others the sweetness is muted and you still get that burn.

Founders is weird about storing stuff - they are opposed to it. But this 2017 has held up just fine.

Decided to pull this from the cellar on a random Saturday night. Still wonderful, especially with chocolate cake. Aged to perfection.

Found this aged brew at the back of my fridge. Still amazing.

So wonderful, aged 3 years. Coffee is barely there. Bourbon and barrel wood is very forward now. Chocolate is yummy. Fantastic!

I pulled this 2017 KBS out for a little evaluation tonight and loving it! It’s definitely much more on the bitter end of RIS’s from the time, coffee, chocolate and barrels, and It’s really hitting the spot tonight! (Not every one of these has)

When you buy thinking it is 2020, but turns out the liquor store catfished you into some vintage 2017. :)

I’ve done a few flights with friends of different years of KBS but I haven’t had a whole bottle in awhile. 👌👌👌 always good, if anything I notice this one is a little boozier than I recall, and that chocolate is on point
