From last night in DK, and holy moly, I opened this can and it was just like opening a fresh bag of hops. F’n impressive all around! Solid, FRESH, hoppy hazy!

Old school, 3 years old (minus 4 days), black Barleywine, aka imperial BIPA…. Yes, it’s still holding up great oddly enough! pick these up if you see em, I will!

Woah! One of the best and balanced cantillon beers I’ve ever had! Loads of grape flavor without being too acidic or tart. Just a really damn fine balance here and I could drink this entire bottle myself, but thanks for the share Jeff J. 🤘🏼

Fresh berries, and woody tannic finish. Kinda cool. Happy anniversary

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) Fitz
Somewhat musty and wet ashy. Coffee has fallen off, but bitterness is stiff there. No too shabby for 6yr old….

Fresh grapes, but missing some carbonation, and that cantillon house funk. Just had a newer version of this at the brewery last month, and it was so much better, so maybe this one doesn’t hold up in the bottle as good or long or just this bottle…

1000 IBU (Mikkeller Beer Lab) Fitz
Well, holy shit, I can say I’ve had this at the source now! Crazy thing is, I don’t get hardly any bitterness on this, and all I get is sweet blueberries…. It’s boozy and a nice night time sipper for sure, but where is the bitterness? It should melt me?

Velvet Oat Pilsner (Mikkeller Beer Lab) Fitz
This was unique and cool to try. Definitely tasted the oats, and it gave it a soft velvety mouthfeel…. Into it, but not loving it…

Pit stop in the room to freshen up, and head back out for more beer fun! This is a really day good German pils! Classic Nobel hops and mild skunk nose, full malt body and clean dry finish, but feeling and tasting the 5.8% ABV on a simple pils

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2017) Fitz
We’ll happy 4th of July, in wet cold London, drinking an aged Belgian geuze off the shelf of Whole Foods for 6£. Odd pairing but it’s all working! Stinky funk on the nose, malty, full bodied, some alcohol warmth, good bitey CO2, & a bit acidic finish

Woah! Read the description, this is cool! It totally is a mash up of an oxidized, still barlewine, blended with a lambic! Kinda loving this totally new flavor!!!

Another excellent random to me grape blended lambic. This one has a sweeter plum like flavor. Again, WOW!

Really unique, cool and a new flavor to me. Really digging this. So perfectly in balance!

Woah, loving this one! Fresh from the source! What a great afternoon!

Cuvée Moeder Lambic (Framboise) Fitz
Desert and a perfect one for me. Tart fresh raspberries, with a nice drying finish. Nice and easy on a full stomach;)! Haha

Hops, probably the most intense west coast style hoppy goodness I’ve had over here so far. Proper

I’ll be missing the mega Cantillon take over here tomorrow, but at least I got a pour of this tonight! Super vinous, tart, tannic and delicious! Pretty still carbonation. Delicious

Fairly tame on the bitter black malts, which is nice, almost like a really aggressive malty dark brown IPA. Dig it. First day in BCN and drinking BIPAs from Denmark. Why not!

Low carb, white wine vinous acidity and sweetness, slight funk on the back end dry finish. Great beer that’s held up well over 8 years. Thanks Jeff J.

Oh wow. Fresh is good too;). Oh happy days (off In Brussels)😜

My god. I drink this beer and don’t read my previous check ins until I finished it, and yet again I keep saying the same thing…. I need to remember these things now on🤦🏼♂️

A nice side by each of two great (centennial forward) IPAs. Something to like more on each of em, but if I had to pick, 2❤️ed gets a slight nudge above this IMHO, but really both are great!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Fitz
Still loving this! Totally my jams! If anything, it’s getting woodier, and spicier from the cinnamon and time…. Vanilla has faded or at least in the background now…

First off, I LOVE the label artwork! This is really balanced and subtle in the final acidity, maybe from the grapes?. Either or, I really dig this and it’s very enjoyable!!! Thanks for the share Jeff J.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Fitz
I love everything about this… cinnamon forward and spicy finish… this is a great KBS variant, maybe a favorite 🤘🏼

Next round of local grocery store pick up, hotel, post rehearsal refreshments…. I’d say this is more of a pale ale vs IPA. It’s ok, refreshing and nice, but doesn’t have that west coast punch bitterness for an “IPA”…

From last night and this was a nice treat and pallet cleanser after some big ole stouts, thanks Jeff J.

Haven’t had one of these in a long while... and it’s kinda as I remember it... nice and hoppy up front, but as it warms the sweetness builds a bit much for my liking...
Holy crap I’m loving this... I was a bit worried on the sweetness levels with all that fudge, maple syrup and such, but NO, this is just SO well done and perfectly ballance with GREAT barrel notes! Pretty amazing beer. Get you some!

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2015) Fitz
Brewed in 2013, bottled in 2015, and now get to enjoy this gem thanks to Jeff J. ! Super cantillion classic mineraly, with perfect level of cognac sweetness barrel goodness finish. Delightful!

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) Fitz
I pulled this 2017 KBS out for a little evaluation tonight and loving it! It’s definitely much more on the bitter end of RIS’s from the time, coffee, chocolate and barrels, and It’s really hitting the spot tonight! (Not every one of these has)
