Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown Ale - American

They don't make 'em like they used to... or do they? The bottle shop series is a tribute to the folks who supported ragtag brewer's across the country when craft beer was in its infancy. when beer enthusiasts sought out innovation through big flavor, in your face complexity and revered quality above all else. This series is for you: the distinguished beer connoisseur still seeking the revolution that energized the industry we know today -- that settles for nothing less then the very best!

A bit heavy on the cherry and orange, even for a highball. Really does taste more cocktail and beer, though. Bourbon notes are in the background with very little alcohol burn.

I usually shy away from beer that are 9 or higher in alcohol , because it overwhelms the taste of the beer. But this is well done

Very unique ale. Lots of bright fruit woven over warm dark notes that simultaneously evoke a dark and cool feel. Tastes shockingly similar to an actual highball. You’d never know it’s 11%. VERY well done Founders, although, I would expect nothing less.

Great day. Cheiricks are over. Pulled pork, chicken thighs, baked beans, and cole slaw. Really just tastes like Belgian triple

Awesome day smoking. Sipping after a great smoke dinner. It’s a great Belgian. Don’t really get the cocktail though.
