Velvet Rush

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Borrowing elements from both high-end craft cocktails and moody jazz clubs, Velvet Rush takes the bourbon barrel-aged brown ale up an octave with free-flowing notes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla extract. Milk sugar aids in weaving together this complex tapestry of flavors to create a unique sipping experience that really ties the room together.

Big coffee nose, lil bit of barrel and vanilla, decent flavors. But as a whole, I wish this was a stout. Pretty thin, missing a bottom to it. A bit boozy, but not bad. An interesting brown ale, an ok beer. Thanks for this Drew H.

Legit. Everything I like: coffee, vanilla, smooth and bourbon.

Another good barrel aged beer from Founders. Smooth coffee flavor up front with slight sweet chocolate, vanilla and milk flavor. Slight barrel flavor at the end but wish it was stronger. Very good brown ale but like my founders Mountain Brown BA more.

Tasty. Strong coffee and chocolate with bourbon barrel finish. Smooth and creamy for an imperial brown ale.

Not a bad brown, but be prepared for prominent coffee indeed.

Maybe some time in the cellar will treat this better. A bit thin, but flavor is there

Drinking this while drafting for football. Was pretty tasty but I wouldn't have guessed that it was barrel aged. Lots of coffee flavor.

There is a lot going on in this beer. I’m going to have to try this on two or three different occasions and average out my rating.
