A lot going on. Heavy coffee smell but mild coffee taste, the vanilla and sugar mellows everything else out. Rich and smooth.

Wat op het etiket staat klopt precies. Smaak van koffie, koffie, wat vanille en whisky. Zoals ik gewend ben wederom prima meuk van Founders.

Chocolate forward, not as thick on the tongue as a stout would be, especially a barrel aged one, making for an interesting, slightly different take on the barrel aged beer with chocolate and coffe.

imo the bourbon is prominent, boozy coffee on the nose. mouthfeel’s soft with a gentle fizz. strong flavors of roasty coffee, chocolate, vanilla.. and the bourbon. Founders brown ales are the best I’ve had, always innovative. 3.90

Complex, aromatic and tasteful. I love the flavours of coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Bourbon barrel aged. A bit sweet but who cares.

Some dryness from the casks followed by creamy nutty aromas of coffee beans and chocolate ending with a vanilla touch.

Anything in the Founder bourbon barrel series is good, but this is on the lower end of that goodness. A little heavy on the coffee flavor. Definitely velvet but not so much rush.
