Kaerlighed Hazy Pale Ale Fall/Winter 2023 C
not much to say, light, citrusy, refreshing - easy drinking, a safe 3.75. mind the proper glassware ✨

kinda fun cuz this would not have been without certain influencers 😅 so not my comfort zone. classic farmhouse on the nose, funky citrus zesty acidity. nothing overpowering tho, a nice brunch beer! 3.90

this is one elegant pastry.. not oversweet, plenty of bourbon booziness on the nose. velvety smooth and so well-balanced. the cocoa and hazelnut are there but mash together for a wonderful pastry sweetness. no 🎆 but an xlnt Sunday sipper. 4.60

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022) C
Nose is pretty much straight up bourbon. mouthfeel’s velvety smooth but overall it’s very much boozy n sweeet this fresh (030122). sit on your bottles for a while if you can. 3.85

aromatic like no 2mro 😅 spiced maple syrup. medium carbonation on the mouthfeel giving it a lighter feel than expected, then the booz kicks in! sweet! citrusy notes on top of all this. it is what it sez it is. 3.90 #stockholmbeerfest2022

cred for that spot-on profile, bubblegum on the nose, bittersweet zesty orange pith grapefruit peel, dry lemony finish.

amazed at the low ratings on this brew. it is so chuggalovable. somewhat dry mouthfeel, lemony, grapefruit peel. granted this being the hottest day of the year but I had no expectations and crushed this can. 4.35 easy.

been looking forward to this 2021release, for me the perfect coffee stout and my favorite stout from Founders. that’s saying something. it’s literally a double espresso with a dash of bourbon and coke sweetness. luvin’it.

haven’t tried this one since 2017 so why not try the 2017 version today? mouthfeel’s smooth. sweet, malty, sherry-like but perfumey on the chaser. apparently much more appealing to me fresh. 3.65

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) C
some have had issues with lack of cinnamon. for me this rocks the cinnamon. cinnamon is heat not sweet. so seasonally spiced nose and heat on the palate. the coffee roastiness is there. solid spiced stout. 4.10

imo the bourbon is prominent, boozy coffee on the nose. mouthfeel’s soft with a gentle fizz. strong flavors of roasty coffee, chocolate, vanilla.. and the bourbon. Founders brown ales are the best I’ve had, always innovative. 3.90

oh my.. sucker for lime. almost chuggalugged this thing.. it’s like a fizzy lime nectar. close to oversweet but the soursaltiness sets in just in time and that 10% is dangerously well hidden. ridiculously tasty. 4.60

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter C
not much of a nose on this one tbh. mouthfeel’s smooth with a gentle fizz, some stickiness on the finish. soft vanilla that sharpens to dried fruits, brown sugar, chocolate raisins, orange peel, lingering herbal notes n bourbon. quite unique! 4.10

nose is really sweet hard candy for me.. so the fruit extract is prominent. that first sip is quite a trip, tart n syrupy n pretty intense, cocktail gose is rite. hints of salt on the finish. great aperitif. 3.80

always happy to see a new Founders on the shelf, never been able to figure these bottling years tho, bbf 01.07.22 🤔..anyway.. roasty nose, strong balanced bittersweet coffee.

cleansed my palate and my wallet with this little gem. deep fermented raz on the notes, thick and tart, hints of sweet tomato jam.. this one lingers on your palate long after the last drop. 4.70

been so hesitant with this one but after trying Lizard of Koz Saturday I had to give it a shot and sure enough Founders know their way with berry-infused stouts. raz n choc on the nose, tart praline sweetness. quite unique.

aromatic rich boozy chocolate cake with a plum jam filling.. I get that this is a bit of a fork in the road for some but I found it quite unique, not too sweet at all, elegant even. 4.15

to appreciate this you might have to have grown up in 🇺🇸 having a genuine orange creamsicle as a kid. cuz this tastes spot on that. scary sweet and tons of artificial flavoring 🤣 thoroughly enjoyed the memory lane trip but half a can’s more than enuf.

faint scent of sweet citrusiness on the nose, mouthfeel’s smooth with som acidity that lingers. fermented sweet citrus and stone fruit.. I’m suspecting an old batch here.. 🤔 06May06Aug.. not bad but that’s it. 3,60

what a mess of entries! party thanks to a vague label ofc. the abv is correct here tho so.. jet-black pour, silky smooth, intense sweetness that kicks in to the bitterness of the coffee for a perfect Sunday stout. and the barrel is strong 🙏🏼 4.40

could just as well have gone all in on this one. it’s really the perfect nightcap and I’m not even a bourbon fan. so wb.. just enough boozy sweetness to that espresso base. out on a limb perhaps but calling this my Founders-favorite.

as sweet as it is sour.. very much a margarita without the salt and a squeeze of grapefruit. luvin’it.

sensational aromatic nose.. reminiscent of a BA Rodenbach. deep, fullbodied, vinous & the blueberries come in more as icing on the cake. dry fruity chaser. xlnt.

fresh hoppy nose, pronounced zesty bitterness. nice with the smørrebrød..

hazy pour, just a faint dankness on the nose. mouthfeel’s supersmooth n creamy but the strength hit’s you straight away. slight bitterness on the chaser. unique brew for sure, very troposweet, very strong.
