Frootwood

Fruit Beer

We took a crisp, light-bodied cherry ale and hid it away in oak barrels that have held both bourbon and maple syrup. After a lengthy stint, it emerged a changed beer, blanketed in notes of warm vanilla and earthy sweetness. The wood proves itself the star of this beer, adding depth and taming the tart cherry while the maple imposes a velvety texture that lingers for not a moment too long.

What a well-composed brew here! Immediate cherry and vanilla with a smooth bourbon finish. Unique, inventive, and downright delicious!

Light and thin for barrel aged, very unique. The crisp cherry ale works well with the oak, slightly dry. The maple and bourbon are subtle and make this refreshing and crushable considering the abv. BOD 11/10/21

Not usually a big fan of fruit beers, but this one is good. Better on draft.

This fruit beer is sweet (from the maple syrup barrels) yet fruity and tart with strong notes of vanilla and cherries. Thank you Jim

Maple and light cherry on the nose, light bodied, cherry and maple syrup blend well and there's a little bit of vanilla and Bourbon on the finish

I may have drank this too fast, but this brings back memories of the McDonald's fried cherry pies

Amazeballs! I don't often like cherry stuff, but this is an exception.

I read Founders' description to have a better grasp on what I was drinking. I have to say, the name makes a lot more sense now. The name is literally the description of the flavor. This review could've easily just said Frootwood and meant the same thing
