Frootwood

Fruit Beer

We took a crisp, light-bodied cherry ale and hid it away in oak barrels that have held both bourbon and maple syrup. After a lengthy stint, it emerged a changed beer, blanketed in notes of warm vanilla and earthy sweetness. The wood proves itself the star of this beer, adding depth and taming the tart cherry while the maple imposes a velvety texture that lingers for not a moment too long.

Go Bears 🐻. Thats a nice surprising set of flavors. Not something I could drink a ton of, but for a beer or two its excellent.

Almost like a dessert beer. Solid cherry flavor and that barrel aged bite comes in nice and smooth. Not bad, founders! Cheers 🍻

Sweet Jesus the maple barrel is not a good addition, very over powering. Why add that to fruit?! Can't taste anything else, light apple underlying doesn't help. If they were flip flopped in prominence it would be a lot better. I was excited at 1st :(

I love the flavors of this beer. A bit expensive for only four 12 oz bottles

Good, but not near the level of most of their barrel aged beers. Pretty light with a touch of cherry and bourbon.

Sweet clean flavor. Crisp. Fruity. Light with slightly complex flavor profile.

FUCK. ME. RUNNING. Dude, this is SUPER sweet and that cherry flavour is ON POINT. Not as dark as what I would normally gravitate towards, but that flavour is SO GOOD, I'm not going to demerit it a point.

Smells like indoor pool @ lake lawn.Very bourbon taste, but not terrible.Following Rubaeus & Blushing Monk; Interesting.Next time go reverse order. Not getting much maple, just bourbon fruit.Don't love it, but don't hate it. 1% away from being too strong.

Strong cherry flavor with a smooth bourbon barrel aftertaste. Rated up for being exactly as described.

Mmmmm. A hint of maple, but not too sugary. Just the right amount of cherry and sweetness. Would drink again.

Another good thing about Frootwood is that my wife hates it, so now I have a whole case to myself.
