Bottled March 2014. Heavy chocolate still. Light coffee and barrel. Holds up.

First of a seven year vertical. The coffee has faded a bit, but it is smoooooth.

Really smooth. Lots of sticky bourbon. It's aged well after 7 years, although not as much coffee and chocolate now but more bourbon! Best before 23/03/2014

Shout out to my good friend Robbie T. for helping me run network cable in the new home build. He did 99% of the dangerous stuff! (Walking across rafters and joists). Nice of him to break this out afterward. Cheers! Late check-in from 3/6/2022

No carbonation. Disappointing, since it took 10 years to get here. Not the beer’s fault, so I won’t change my normal rating.

When I chose my first beer for the night, I chose a 12-ounce can thinking 16 or 22 ounces were too much for tonight. It wasn't enough, and so now I am also doing a 12-ounce bottle of KBS, which if course outshines my previous choice. Stellar as always.

Pulled this one of out of the “far back” of the stash cellar. Very pronounced chocolate and coffee on the front with a smooth burn on the backside finish. Really very tasty with little bourbon taste - just the nice burn.

It’s at its end. Not sure it might get away with a few more years of it being a 4.25+. Coffee is still there but thinner - not as sweet or boozy.

Working my way forward in time as I finished off the beers in my collection from '13 to '16, this is now the final bottle of '14 KBS in my collection. This nine-year bottle, admittedly kept a longer than ideal, has held up well. Bourbon, cocoa, & coffee.

Broke out an old bottle this weekend, had lost the carbonation, but was still delicious! Great beer to share with friends.
