Opaque jet-black with sturdy light-brown head & lacing. Dark chocolate-covered cherry nose & taste; add coffee flavor. There’s wonderful balance of sweet & bitter. I had low expectations for this beer. Happily, I was wrong.

Surprisingly a little bitter on 1st sip. Pours pitch black. Moderate head. Tasting more sour cherry with slight chocolate. Perhaps a little too boozy.

Good balance of sweetness, chocolate, roastiness, and just a touch of juciness. Full bodied, a little sticky, and just a bit boozy.

Founders could brew a KBS with elephant dung, and it would still be of better quality than 90% of stouts on the market! Perfectly intoxicating to the last drop!

Great KBS base. A bit more dark chocolate and a touch of cherry without it overpowering.
