Too sweet for a marzen but appreciate the attempt to innovate, feels like Oktoberfest releases get earlier every year

Think it needs to have a little bit more malt. Fades very fast. Light barrel flavor.

Holy.... was not expecting that. So boozy for an oktoberfest. The bourbon flavor really comes though.

Certainly can taste that this is bourbon barrel aged. Slightly metallic/alcohol taste at the end. Doesn’t hide its ABV as well as some barrel aged beers of higher alcohol content.

Too much oak for my preference. A touch of heat from the alcohol. I am sure this would be wonderful for others, just not myself.

Its kinda weird. Barrel is there and prominent but I don't really think it compliments the Marzen. Cool idea but not my favorite.

I’ve had imperial and Uber Oktoberfest beers. Now for Ultimate 🤔. Not as ultimate as I would like. The barrel overpowers the beer. It’s not exactly boozy, but the beer is lost to it. Drinkable, but not repeatable. Unique #4000

A bourbon barrel aged marzen, what a great idea. Maybe not so much. There is a boozy finish that takes over any flavors of the marzen.

Eh- a solid Oktoberfest is a tastier brew. Try this if you just want different.
