Reminiscent of Quilter's Irish Death (Iron Horse, Ellensburg WA), but distinctively different also. Both well worth 5 stars, which I give only 1-2X/yr for any style (last 5star stout was Lb Brewing, Hays KS).

Strong coffee nose. Black as anthracite coal. Lots of chocolate and a malty sweetness. Super smooth mouthfeel. Like a whipped latte. Great character with a rich roasted malt bill yielding complex notes of smoke, coffee and dark chocolate. 8.3 Abv

Als ontbijt durfde ik het niet aan, de dag moest nog komen en de regen nog gaan. De regen die kwam en de dag die ging, het was in het avondgloren dat dit bier mijn toetje verving.
