Very enjoyable malty nose. I like the malty and bitterness in the taste but it’s a little too bitter for a Scotch Ale for me. Very good beer and drinkable. Same rating.

First one of these in 10 or 11 years. Holds up amazingly well.

I've had so many of these that I assumed that I'd already checked it in. Apparently not. It's a really nice, caramelly Scotch ale. It, along with Three Floyd's Robert The Bruce, are my standard for Scotch ales.

Deze smaakt heel goed bij de overwinning van NAC, weer een eredivisionist eruit gewipt, stelletje Dirty Bastards. Next stop; kwartfinale.

Also heut hab ich irgendwie kein Glück. Nicht schlecht, für n Scotch Ale aber schwach. Es fehlt an Körper und Süße, von der auf der Flasche versprochenen Raucharomen keine Spur.

For a red beer , the flavor is dark . Smooth with a decent malt finish and a flavor at the end that I can’t identify. The flavor hits the tongue and doesn’t let up, not carbonated but strong flavor .

Not a good example of a scotch ale. Way to hoppy to be a proper scotch ale.

Geur van toffees en caramel. Zoet, zoethout en drop. Afdronk lekker rond warm bitter.
