Rich bready malt with deep caramel notes. Earthy hops that make their presence felt. I like a wee scotch ale. This is good but not as good as New Glarus.

Goes down way too easily. This one was brewed in Feb 2020 and I've been cellaring it since 🤤 Smooth rich toffee, vanilla and currants in the middle, and a brief finish of hops and smoke

Lett drikkelig øl med mye malt og humle smak. En god balanse som gjør den lett å drikke. Noe salt og sødme

Dark amber-red color w/ a finger light-tan head. Dark roast malt on the nose w/ an earthy side of sweet coffee. Palate adds rough/harsh smoked peat, lending a strong ale feel. Earth and bitter hops linger on the finish. Not a dry beer. Medium mouthfeel.

Dirty Bastard was really up my alley…. After tasting it’s a sweet dirty bastard. This one really didn’t care that his father went out for milk and didn’t return.

Het is een donkerbrui bier met nagenoeg geen schuim. De geuren zijn van koffie, roggebrood en gedroogd fruit. Ik proef rozijnen, rogge. Hij is best zoet en een nasmaak van koffie en een subtiele bitterheid.

Still a staple. Blind test I gave scotch ale yeah !!! Caramel on the nose strong malty well balanced sweetness with ample bitterness mild smokiness aftertaste

Not a scotch ale fan, but for this style this isn’t bad. Smooth without a bite at the end that I’m used to. Founders continues to make great beer.
