Honestly don't know about this one. It's definitely a beer to go with food rather than on it's own. The first sip I liked it. Next one not so much. But I was drinking it while eating BBQ kettle chips. There were moments where it just worked, or didn't.

A lot better than I was expecting. I'm a number of drinks in but less of a bite than I expected. Pretty decent flavor especially for the 8.5% ABV

Carbonation Lower than average Odor Sweet toffee Mouthfeel Medium to full bodied Flavor Sweet and malty. There is an alcohol taste there too. Finish Light hop bitterness that lingers.

I was hoping for the advertised sweetness to be more forward, and I am seemingly often taken aback in these advertisements. Ultimately, it is a little thin, a little smokey, starts smooth but leaves an aftertaste that isn't pleasing to my palate.
