Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

Second to CBS. A year of aging does help to temper the strong BBA - could use another year or two, maybe. Overall, it has a rich bitter roast that I wish was a *little* more sweet or more rich.

This is a highly-rated beer which prompted me to try it. It's wonderfully complex - chocolate and bourbon on the nose, full-bodied and rich with a velvety mouth feel, finishing off with more bourbon, a little bitterness, and a hint of sweetness.

🇺🇸Eerste smaak is vooral alcohol, hakt er flink in en overheerst eerst. Nasmaak ontwikkelt zich tot een vooral bourbon barrel aged smaak wat prominent aanwezig is. De stout is lekker subtiel en romig.
