Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

First thing that came to mind was red wine vinegar. After a few sips it's seems this was the interplay between the bourbon, hops and coffee flavors. The bourbon cones through fairly strong.

Perfect in balans. Heel zacht en vol van smaak. Koffie en chocolade aanwezig maar niet overheersende, blijft na de afdronk nog even hangen met een kleine boozy randje. Top biertje!
