KBS

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

Bartender's Sales Pitch: "Wah bro you like Stouts ah? I got this one damn rabak one." Thick and viscous pour. Initial mouth was heavier than expected, even for an Imperial. Tastes like a sweet, slightly coconut-y, double espresso on crack. Grows on you.

Crazy unique flavor, sweet but also bitter like dark chocolate.

Still my favourite beer. Rich With a taste of chocolate and coffee with barrel aged smoothness.

It’s ok. But Black Tuesday and Parabola outshine this, making it a little harder to appreciate.

Heavily phenolic nose with notable coffee and chocolate notes along with a hint of nuttiness. Dark caramel-colored head with little retention. Completely opaque and black. Smooth. Chocolate up front followed by pleasant bitterness & a boozy heat
