Is there a better porter than Founders Porter? I don’t think there is. Roasty, great mouthfeel, and moderate ABV. Many “robust porters” these days aren’t robust at all, are too high ABV, and missing that key roasty flavor.

Bottle states dark, rich, and sexy...indeed! Tasty dark one to wind down with. Molasses strong, but not too sweet thankfully! Easy, smooth drink!

Drinking this porter on International Stout Day because I am an inclusive drinker and didn’t want the Porters to feel left out. Especially since the term “stout” came from the old English term “stout porter”. This is especially good and consistent.

I don't care. This beer is close to perfect. I haven't had it in years and one sip was like a time machine. Sweet, roasty, chocolatey and a nice dry finish. Perfect for this time of year. Where are all the porters and stouts?? I miss the early 2000s.

Almost as good as Edmund Fitzgerald. Very smooth & clean.
