I long for the season of cold weather and the limited edition Stouts and Porters. The Founders Porter is very good, but why not an Imperial? It’s unfortunate to have to compare with Expedition Stout, Blackout Stout, and other seasonals.

A little more bitter than most porters. There is a smoothness under the hops - but too much hops.

Blessed be Founders for distributing their perfect porter to California. Bottled on 10.07.20, perhaps the best vintage I’ve had in the past 15 years.

Not really my taste. Dark and rich but also bitter on the finish. I didn’t really get a lot of coffee or roasty notes.
