The king of American Porters (England holds the title with Old Engine Oil). This can be harsh on the palate for the inexperienced. Personally, I prefer Bell’s or Stegmaier but not available on the West Coast. Founders is often carried at Grocery Outlet.

Rich nutty flavor and a smooth almost milk stout finish making it an easy drinking porter. Getting the light coffee notes but not much graham cracker flavor

It advertises “graham cracker sweetness,” and indeed I found it just sweet enough without being cloying. It has a nice roasted malt backbone and a surprising amount of hop bitterness. It suggests roasted coffee but I got more chocolate.

I've enjoyed several Founders brews.... A very good go to Porter with roasted coffee notes and creamy sweetness.
