Diep donker bruin met een rode gloed en een volle crème schuimkraag. In de geur bourbon en tonen van mokka/schokolade. Vol in de smaak met meteen de boubon, gebrand (mout), verwarmd door de 11%. Wat bitter en droog in de afdronk. Lekkere jonge.

D’un brune cuivrée, cette barrel age est vieillie dans des fûts de sigle malt scotch 🥃 caramel, fumée, alcool, boisée, épicée et quelque peu fruitée. Elle est loin d’être plate. 11%

Like coming back from the state fair and thinking back on the fireworks, until you fall asleep. That's how much the flavour lingers.

Very malty, caramelly and boozy. Heavy bourbon and some smokiness. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for all these big flavors. A good one neverthless.

Booziness and alcohol heat from the bourbon barrel almost overwhelms what should be the caramel sweet goodness that is a Scotch Wee. Somewhat enjoyable.

A delicious beer with an unfortunate monicker. An ale with strong bourbon flavour and near-buttery mouthfeel.

Well, it is a solid beer....but I much prefer KBS over this.

The barrel aging adds strength to this solid Scotch ale. Not as good as a BBA stout, but quite nice.
