Straight up the aromas get me with Bourbon overloads which carries on to the flavours with also plenty of dark fruits, vanilla, caramel, oak and slight licorice. Great upfront but got better as I sipped on it and let it warm!

Luktar sött, fikon nästan. Smörkola, bourbon. Bra munkänsla, kanske något tunn/flyktig pga hög alkoholhalt. Men har en lustig bismak. Typ trä/tång/sjögräs. Hög beska i eftersmaken. Väl mycket whiskeysmak av faten. Har inte druckit många Wee Heavy.

Clear reddish, frothy to minimal tan head. Strong aromas of dried fruits, wood, licor. Robust bodied, soft carbonation. Thick and oily. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Rich malt and licor flavors into a harsh finish.

Oak, bourbon, and caramel dominate in this barrel aged strong ale. This one starts out sweet and finishes with an over powering boozy bourbon finish. Slight taste of maple pushes this beast over the top!

Smokey peat phenols precipitates tantalizing urges for scotch neat imbibement, dry kilt lifting kiln barley sounds the Wee Heavy palate pibroch, toasted caramel toffee towers over taste receptors like Scottish Thistles in full bloom upon Highland taiga.

2016 bottle. Nicely warming, quite woody. Bit of a black licorice note in there.

A Beer Advocate 94 point triumph from Founders! Cloudy dark with berry, toffee and caramel quinoa with similar flavors, plus scotch, bourbon, dark fruit and vanilla.

October 2021. Really impressive toffee apple aroma. Taste is a little underwhelming, however; sweet bourbon is there, but mostly like a generic chocolatey stout. Was expecting a bit more complexity. Great name, though! 🇺🇸
