Oh, how I've waited for this one. My favorite Founders beer, now with my favorite fruit. This is a BOMB for only being 11.5% of bliss. Barrel is definitely there, with some major blueberry jam notes. Exceeds expectations all around.

It’s alright. It’s better than I expected. The blueberry adds a nice tartness to balance the beer out. But still, I’m not in love with it.

Barrel aged stout thinned down to the leve that the body vanished, but chug is due to way too much tart blueberry.

Sour blueberry and bourbon nose. Chocolate, bourbon, and blueberry flavor

This tasted just like a glass of overly sweet bourbon. Missing most of the tasting notes due to the uneven balance of flavor.

I'm not really a fan. The blueberry flavor just isn't that good, and it overpowers the beer.

I wish I had tried the KBS before this but I will soon enough. Founders has always made some of the best dark beers around. This beer is no exception. Blueberry jam folds right into this chocolate Bourbon bomb with subtle coffee flavor.
