First stout from Founders. Don’t let the hype and often pretentious reviews of a beer such as this one dissuade you from drinking—it’s fantastic. Heavy maple syrup, chocolate, and bourbon without being too sweet or overpowering at 11%. An insipidity brew.

Bourbon, cherries, chocolate, and DELICIOUS! Black as night and puts you right out while you grab for another.

2e keer op rij dat ie minder vol smaakt dan het bier ervoor. Misschien toch een beetje overrated? Lekker is ie hoe dan ook

Loads of chocolate, coffee & maple present, perfect amount of carbonation (lower) - it’s good but there are better Coffee Maple stouts.

Rating again since it has been a while. Most recently I had one bottled Sept '19 and it aged very well. Not too boozy, just a nice flavor and really didn't find it sweet. Still like KBS better but this is very good. Slainte!!
